Ordering piston today, 2C / 2B - whats it mean?

I'm ordering from Mr T today and need to double check something.
The piston I am replacing is stamped 2C, according to the BGB the number 2 refers to the diameter of the piston therefore I need part number 13101-88381-02
What does the 'C' mean??????? I just wanna check that size 1,2 & 3 doesn't mean A,B & C
I have seen engines with both 2B and 2C in the same engine......

Is it the weight?
This could balance the crank / rod / piston assembly.........

I think the block is marked and piston size B or C etc matches the bore for tolerance.

Yes but this is the 1,2 or 3 number.
What is the A,B & C for ????????

You would be safer walking into your Toyota dealer carrying the old piston and asking them to supply the correct part - this way, they carry the can!

Supplying your OWN part number is a risk. Only do it if absolutely necessary.

I did exactly that and the guy on the desk wanted the chassis number. I said the engine number would be better as the car is 13 years old and its not uncommon to change the engine on this kind of car but he insisted on chassis number only......
In the end I looked up the part numbers myself and just ordered them anyway.
Bits turned up today and are correct
I just finished honing the cylinder (Snap-on honing tool gives a great mad scientist / robot / midwife look and is great for scaring kids )

I hope I can remember where all the little hoses etc. go, I stripped the engine 5 weeks and 150 beers ago..........
