Knowledge Base Suggestion?

Post by Steve W2 »

I think it would be a good idea to have a dedicated section in the KB for manuals for proprietry parts? Boost controllers, turbo timers, gauges, and other common car parts people might have but not have the manuals for.

I see there are already some manulas there, they could be almagamted into more user friendly 'sub-section' of the KB.

Just a suggestion, you may just tell me to shut up........

Good idea Steve; info on stuff like that is always handy to have, especially with stuff being bought off eBay, etc, and not having manuals.

I quite fancy having a 'review' section for similar items based on people's real-world experiences of the various bits of kit we bolt on to our '2s.
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!

The one big snag I can think of is copyright.

Anyone had any experience with this?

(or are you talking about someone writing a KB article about generic boost controllers etc?)

Yeah maybe, although were not depriving them of sales as they aren't sold seperately, and they are only for the information of people who want to use their products or have brought a second hand version.

Besides, if you browese through this site you'll find plenty of threads that contain similar sorts of information.

You'd be right to check though 8) I just think it would be cool to have, easily acessable too.
