.if you had kids you'd buy a lotus carlton or a million other cars first? I'd take an evo over a sccob any day, and only then if it was a 5.

LOL classic thread chaps

nightspirit you know nothing of what you're talking about, fact.

To the rest of you some basic facts.

Scoobys are not fast in a straight line due to power or 4WD but due to gearing.

Scoobys are rally cars, not sports cars.

They are not designed to go over 120 but to get there as fast as possible.

So stock for stock an equal powered scooby will beat an MR2 up to 100 mph, after that rubbish aerodynamics, bigger tranny losses and short gearing will start to come into play.

As for modded vs modded.

.

.throw all the power you want at a scooby and it can use it.

Throw 400 BHP or 900 BHP at an MR2 and its irrelevant as it can't really use it.

On a track don't even go there, the scooby every time.

Short gears, modern suspension, AWD, big brakes, it wins in every category.

Scoobys are world-renown for their ability and performance.

To suggest that an MR2 can compete is just a little bit silly.

At the end of the day, try to have some perspective.
