We even get our own parking area so were all parked up together.....

we can mingle with the cars ? - is that right ?..

so we are not all stuck in with "common people"

if Yes I think I'll take a long trip up there and support - I will help out with Tea's or anything in the pitlane.. I'm used to it with Andi and Mark anyway O:)

Or I'll bring more dohnuts - keep the guy's sugar levels up
Failing that just being there will bound to keep spirits up - I know Mark and Mike laugh at me soon as see me! :eye:

Yes you could certainly mingle in the pits last year, this year we'll have shelter and there's talk of a BBQ. Plus seven very impressive cars...and hopefully more than that depending on progress of one or two in the next few weeks.

Plus last year we got a club area to park in, I suspect we could do the same this year!

Sub 10 sec 1/4's, over 175mph & handling circuit in under 45 secs.

anyway, back to reality, jus a quick as damn possible cos we wanna win! lol

we goin for a more MLR approach this year? consistently good at all events to get overall win as opposed to gunning for winning one event?

This is something that we have been talking over a great deal over the last few weeks. I think the general feel is that we have to be realistic in terms of where we will do best. Over the 1/4 mile we stand little if no chance of scoring points in truth. Their are simply too many 10, 9 and i'm sure 8 second cars going to be there this year so the best we can hope for here is to make a good show of our selves in this discipline. I'm pretty confident that we will have at least a couple of cars managing very respectable times in the mid maybe even low 11's =D>

That being said, I do think we have a very good chance of coming away with some points in the handing section and i know that this is where a lot of the team (myself included) will be focusing :D

Many thanks to all that show their support for our merry band of men....and women lol. Getting behind us all will help to keep spirits high leading up to this monster event so keep all of the positive comments, doughnuts and cold hard cash coming

Go for glory - the sw20 will never win overall so we might as well try and get high in one event...

I think an MR2 will not even get close on the handling circuit, I wish i was wrong but all you need is 4wd and a set of slicks or very sticky tyres, there will be too mant evos and skylines and the odd ex wrc escort to wipe the floor with the MR2's, its about grip not handling.

I am up for this, and happy to bring my tools along as well as a little support wagon just incase the worst happens? Dont mind waving a spanner in anger if it helps a TOTBer who is stuck. Just remember the year I did it and seeing JJ bent double as his car pi$$ed coolant every where.

I agree, to an extent. You have to realize that the handling event is split into groups, ie 4WD, RWD and FWD. The best from each category are then entered into a shout out for top honers.

Just to add..... the MR2 can't be all that bad as I managed to be the 2nd fastest RWD jap car there last year. With the new and improved engine going in and the extra year of experience gained I hope to be making that 1st place this year [-o<
