MR2 PCD and Offset

Post by BILLY c »

Getting some 7x17 ,44 offset,pcd 114.3 for an MR2 Rev 2 Turbo.

Can i just ask if the Fittment is right for it?

According to the website http://www.rochfordtyres.co.uk/Fitment. ... rch=Toyota

The PCD is 114 and offset is 35 - 42. So how can i make up the offset to 44?

Do i added spacers or what? I know it will bring them out a bit bit does it reduce the offset of 44 to say 39 (if you use 5mm spacers) or does it increase the offset to 49??

Cheers

Ideally you should get 8 inch wide wheels on the rear.If you add 5mm spacers you will changing the offset from 44 to 39.The lower the offset number the further out your wheels will sit.If you can only get 7 inch wide wheels for the rears then try and get them in a lower offset number than 44, (35 to 38 would be ok)) so that they don't sit too far into the wheel arch.If you use spacers any bigger than 5mm then you're gonna have to get longer wheel studs.
Watch out OZ here I come !!

sorry to hijack the thread but will 7.5 wide fit in the front arches of a MK2 (rev3) and 8.5 in the rears? Just wondering as the wheels I'm after I can get in 18x8.5 & 18x7.5 Obviously a lower profile tyre is used but there is some other that do 17x8 & 17x7.5

So just want to know if they'll fit or not.
