Does the small front light cover (the one by the indicator) just pop off; need to replace the bulb

Yes it does, you'll need to pull the unit out towards you and with a bit of force it should come forward and out.
The indicator and sidelight have a sort of fixing which loosely attaches them to one another so both will probably 'pop-out'
They click back into place easily enough too!

Hi,

I've had to change my side lights a number of times now and I've discovered an alternative to popping off the front cover.

The problem with removing the cover I find is that it is a pain to get off and to put back.
Also it never seems to re-fit properly once it has been removed for the first time due to the plastic clips getting stretched whilst easing it off.

If you have small hands my alternative is to raise the main light and then unscrew and remove the plastic side casing.
This will leave a gap through which you grab and untwist the side light bulb holder.
You can then replace the bulb and twist it back in.

I managed to get the cover off eventually by using a screwdriver and levering it out.
I'd agree with you that the cover does seem a bit loose now so will definitely give your method a go next time i have to change a bulb
