Re: Quaife quickracks for a MK1
Are these specifically for the Mk1 or the Corolla?
PS why not the Mk2
PS why not the Mk2
Re: Quaife quickracks for a MK1
Specifically for the MK1, although I can get corolla for same price.

Re: Quaife quickracks for a MK1
I was curious about the fitment as when I bought my quickrack they didn't do one for the Mk1 one so I had to make do with the Corolla rack and modify the knuckle joint. If only I had waited

Good price! What is the difference over the standard rack - how much 'quicker' is it?
Re: Quaife quickracks for a MK1
Ah well you should have waited! I've been made aware of a limited run of 25 only specifically for the RHD MK1 - you are right though they are based on the same tech drawings as the corolla.
Am checking 'quickness', but it is significant.

Re: Quaife quickracks for a MK1
Not sure i could cope without the p/s but a quicker rack would be nice.
Re: Quaife quickracks for a MK1
I'd be interested in a Mk2 quick rack.

Disconnect the pump multiplug and try it without any assistance to see. TBH I only notice it when doing the 'car park shuffle'. A word of waring, don't run around with the pump disconnected for long periods of time though as apparently this how I wrecked my rackMark Edwards wrote:Not sure i could cope without the p/s

A non PS rack will probably be easier to turn than a PS rack with the PS broken, if you see what I mean.
Then again, making it a quick rack will make it harder to turn..
And yes, running a non PS rack without PS will quickly kill it I believe.
Anyway - Mark - you big girls blouse!

If the ratios are the same correct as you're not pushing fluid around.

Are these built up, or just a rack and pinion kit?
