Rev 2 and Rev 3 exhaust manifold differences (JJ/GTS Chris/S

Post by Bender Unit »

I am looking at a turbo kit which is for a rev 2, the turbo kit would be ideal for my goals so I was thinking about getting the kit and hacking the exhaust flange off and fitting a rev 3 one in its place. I take it with this done there are no other differing factors to worry about?

this can be done and i can prob help with a gen3 flange, but it will only be as strong as the quailty of the welding work. i have see a couple of convered gen2>gen3 greddy manifolds that looked rather poor.

the oil fitting to rev3 block is smalller than rev2, this should be easy to sort with an adaptor.

Thanks for the advice Chris, much appreciated.

I may be in touch about the flange but I have also had a chat with H&S and they said they could make the flange and weld it all up for 70 odd which is a bargain and also their welding work is usually very good.

Sounds like a plan!

Cheers
