Brakes International?

Post by msherry21 »

Hi all, Just a quick question really. Are the brake parts from Brakes International standard parts? Are these a good option for a rev3 turbo? I'm going to the Nurburgring and just want my brakes in good shape.

thanks in advance,

Michael.

Hi Michael,

Yes they are standard parts. I would advise getting some decent pads from somewhere else though. I bought my discs from them then bought some pagid pads from fensport.

check out other threads on brakes........ there are plenty on the site.

For fast road driving, pagid fast road pads seem to be popular but I wouldn't know myself.

Cheers,

Yep, I bought a set of solid front disks from them plus a set of Pagid Fast Road pads from Fensport and used them at the Nurburgring last year - they're fine.

The Nurburgring isn't that hard on brakes and the engine - to be honest, you're best off making sure you've got good tyres correctly inflated.

BTW - the opening times for the Nurburgring for 2005 have been announced. Looks like there's going to be an IMOC Nurburgring trip either 24-26th June or 9-10th July ... or maybe both

hey Ben, yeah could be interested in that, I'm going on the 23rd March, with the Toyota Owners Club(SSHhhhhh) really looking forward to it! I'll no doubt catch the Nurburgring bug and wanna go all the time, keep me in touch with that though.

cheers,

Michael.
