The Blitz is louder than the HKS.

i've had a lot of problems with the blitz super sound leaking. The HKS SSQV is a much better designed BOV. If you don't like the noise of the HKS go with the new blitz version the Dual Drive as they sorted the leaking problem out with that version.

well the older version with the trumpet is the super sound.

The new version with the exchangeable tips is the dual drive, the bodies do look very similar

I have a very strange Blitz dump valve, it looks like the super sound older trumpet style but it can detach it and interchange it, but the sound is like no other blitz DV I ever heard...

still... doesnt leak and sounds different so I'm happy, had it for over 2 years now...

I've had the Blitz for about 2 years now - no probs at all!

It was leaking before due to me not fitting it properly though!

seems to be some confusion

Theres the Blitz Super Sound and then theres the Blitz Dual Drive, there 2 different bov's the Dual Drive is the better one.

Well i didn't think mine were leaking until i tested them and found they were.

In what respect were yours leaking Tim?
I know it's a couple of leagues below but as I've previously said, my old Bailey one opened up slightly at 0psi making the driving horrific on motorway cruises.

well i've actually tried 3 on the mr2 and a couple of other cars

I had 1 which wouldn't open at all after a few months of running, pistons was seezed inside the housing.

Another which leaked low down, mines a gen 3 so didn't really notice that one but when fitted to an s13 200sx i had at the time, which has an afm like the rev 1/2 it refused to idle at all.

Another which used to leak once you got above 0.5bar, leaked to a point where i could hear it hissing from the bay, i tried messing with the spring tension but nothing.

Not trying to put people off this bov, might just be my bad luck. Eitherway they don't make this anyone anymore they updated it to the BLitz Dual Drice BOV, which i have used in replacement to the super sounds as the fitting kits the same and haven't had problems since.

My HKS SSQV was fitted before I bought the car 3 years ago (60k+ miles), and it had been on a while then I think. Never had a problem with it, but the standard silver insert made it sound like a budjie(?), so I swapped it for the purple insert...
