Hi
Without going into the whole subject of the new style Xenon bulbs (not HID) that claim 30% 50% brighter, is anyone running std type 80w/100w bulbs?
Ive got a spare set in the garage and was considering dropping them in, due to the extra power questions are:
Is the fuse up to it?
Is the wiring up to it?
Are the switches up to it?
Any problems with overheating the headlights?
Any problems with being pulled by the old bill?
Cheers
Peter

Ive got the 80/100 bulbs in my MK1, they are the ice blue ones from Halfords about £13 each and they work fine, no overheating , but i find you do have to replace them about every 6 months as they obviously burn brighter but are short lived, you will definately notice the difference over the stock bulbs though especially in the darker months... go for it !, cheers, Jinxy

I use Osram silver, same rating as the standard bulbs - legal, a brighter white up to 50% and you can see a difference! price varies depending on where you buy them.
