just failed M.O.T, need help!!!!

Post by phill_mr2GTS »

i just took my MR2 mk2 rev 2 tubby for its MOT and it failed on
"steering rack system has excessive free play detected at steering wheel"
i asked the guy to explain it to me and he said that it is not the track rod end but the track rod ball joint itself and he reckons it will be pritty easy to change.
has anyone ever had this problem before and do you know what part it would be as i have looked at the manual and cant really see anything?
all advice more than welcome
cheers :(

It's the track rod at the bottom you'll be needing.

no a big job at all and the joints tend to go after after age. Best to replace them and you may feel a better driving experice as well.
