Cam Belt Replacement

Post by Tickover »

Hi Guys
My 2 has hit 63000 miles and as ive only owned it 8 months I was thinking it be a good idea to change the belt. The question is.. How difficault is it to do? ive done them on many cars before but they have all be quite easy access front engines..

Any Recomendations?

Cheers

Hi,

I found it a pain in the ar$e, even with the engine out!! mainly because the bolts were so hard to get off!!

But appart from that it's ok. There just isnt a lot of room, but if you jack the engine up a bit(after taking the mount off) you should be able to do it OK!

Cheers,

Paul.
