Oh NO! I Lost control at 95mph today on a bend... WITH VIDEO

Basicly the day was organised by http://www.mgs-on-track.com. The track was run by www.1stlotus.com There was approx 30 cars turned up and the tracks were open from 9am to 4pm with no stop for lunch. The first half of the day was to practice on a high speed bend circuit and a slalom circuit. Then in the afternoon 2 circuits were setup and a drag race competition. Its strictly 1 car on each circuit any any time so the only thing to hit is a cone. There wasnt much waiting around either for a turn. Circuits took between 1 and 2 minutes to complete (see my video at the top) and then you had to wait approx 8 mins to get another go. Thats plenty of attempts all day long. I managed to kill my tyres (drifting round corners @ 80mph ) very quickly. The day was well worth the money and I had an excellent time. I may suggest that one of the IMOC organisers organise something like this!

the bit about the lack of need to wear a helmet is a bit concerning lol

You do not need to book the whole day as 1st Lotus can find the extra people needed if required.
We teach in any performance car.
Courses begin at 9.00 am and finish at 4.00 pm
You will need your Driver’s Licence on the day and there is no need for the use of helmets

(As the price is per person and not per car, if 2 people want to share one car on the day they will need to book for 2 places)


Our instructors for this course are highly qualified driving instructors
with racing experience.

Nice one Frank! Stick me down for a place when you organise it!! They normally run the course for 4 cars per day @ £170 each. Obiously when there is 30 cars it brings the price right down but you can get plenty of driving in still!

Count me in, will be interesting to find out what kind of setup is fastest if we time everybody.

Would be good to keep it around 15-20 cars. More track time at still a bargin cost.

You dont need any cover Jim. If by some freak accident you manage to crash ill drag your car onto a road outside the airfield and you can say you crashed there I think its fairly safe. 1 car on a circuit at any time. Theres nothing to hit but cones You brave enough to put your name down when Frank organises it?

people generally don;t bother - excesses are in the thousands and so negates the purpose of insurance !

Nice one Frank. There was always 2 activities running at once. There was about 35 cars turned up last week and this still allowed for more than enough driving for the whole day. I would probably suggest a max of 40 cars though.

Ok im with you then Frank. 30 cars @ £34 will make a good day. If you arrange it for the end of the summer and open it to MR2OC then we shouldnt have any problems getting 30 cars.
