Why are there so many black mk2's?

Post by Goldy »

When I was looking for my car, just over a year ago, I couldn't find a black mr2 for love nor money, every one was either red, or that funny blue/green colour. Now virtually every other mr2 I see is black, I haven't seen a red one on the roads for ages!

Were more made in black? or is it that the red ones get broken when the paint fades? Maybe people are more likely to crash into brighter colours?

Anyone got an explanation?

There's loads of red ones around still, it's the most common colour, it's just the pink they've turned into doesn't grab you attention anymore. :P

Black is best. O:)

Just set it to expire in say 2 weeks, most people would have seen it by then.

I don't like being an 'other'. Couldn't you have added a yellow choice?

'Whites the best'

NEVER!

I used to have one of the green/blue tubbys but I was amazed at how stunning my yellow one is.

I prefer to stand out and be different rather than just blend in... 8)

The psycology of colours :

What does your car say about you :
http://www.informit.com/articles/articl ... 22782&rl=1

Black can represent the antithesis of white and is known to symbolize white's opposites: the "bad guys" and deceit. It is the color of funerals, death, and mourning. The "Black Market" and "Black Monday" are examples of the negative representation this color has on us. However, it is better to be "in the black" than "in the red."
