impartial advice needed - thanks

Post by CosmosblueMR2 »

Hi all,

been having a few enquiries about my REV5 (1999 uk car) engine, gearbox and Helix Ceremetalic clutch and need some impartial advise on the value of these. (people are asking what I want instead of making an offer - so I'm a bit stuck - not clued up on the value of these things  )

could people suggest what they are worth individually, and as a "bundle"

also I'll be having new hubs, drive shafts in the conversion - should i insist I get my originals back ? and are these worth anything if that's the case ?

appreciate any advice.

thanks a lot (don't want to GIVE my parts away! kinda thing :? )

To give you some kind of idea, I sold my old Rev3 lump and gearbox and exhaust for 500. I did'nt have to wait to long to find a buyer either so maybe I could have got more :?

I'd ask Patrick and Matt what they think it might fetch also out of interest!?

Hope this puts you on the right path buddy

if someone is doing a conversion, then they may want all the extra bits like hubs, driveshafts etc.

for selling the engine complete with exhaust, engine, gearbox, hubs, driveshafts, ecu, looms etc. i would probably ask £800 as you can pick up the equivalent turbo equivalent from 1k.

hope that helps
