Bolney 2006 - Convoy from Reading. (& Fleet Services)

Hello,

How about a convoy for us Reading area based people to join the others at Fleet Services and then on from there?.......

0800 - Comet car park at Madejski Retail Park (off M4 J11)

0815 - Leave Comet and take the A33/Reading Road down to the M3 J5 at Hook

0845 - Fleet Services (London bound) between M3 J5 and J4A.

0915 - Leave Fleet Services

M3 to M25 J12

M25 J12 to M25 J7 ( M23 J8 )

M23 J8 to M23 J11

1015 - Pease Pottage Services - Where we join up with other main convoys

1045 - Leave Pease Pottage Services and continue down A23 to Bolney

1100 - Arrive at Bolney



Unfortunately last year, our Fleet Services convoy shot ourselves in the foot by staying at Fleet Services waaaaaaaaaay too long. Because of that when we got to Pease Pottage all other car clubs/conyoys had already gone, then we were the last to turn up at Bolney and had to park on the bridge as outcasts!

If we make sure we stick to the timetable above we should be alright this time.

This is looking to be an excellent turnout from Reading!

If we can leave Madjeski promptly at 8.15am then if people don't mind I can lead us down some nicer roads than if we just stuck to the boring straight A33!??

It involves going via Grazely/Burghfield/Mortimer then we'd cross the A33 to take the Reading Road down to Hook and M3 Junction 5.

By my reckoning we could do that in 30mins and be at Fleet Services at the 8.45am meeting time.
