I also thought the MR2 didn't take kindly to a wet/oiled filter!?! :? *dunno*

The apexi seems the best option anyways regarding filtration and performace

Blitz is useless as a filter. Looks great.

Just hope you don't have to many bits of gravel coming out of your exhaust! ;)

I don't think there is anything cheap or chavvy about K&N in all honesty. If you are daft enough to pay £130 for a Blitz filter that doesn't filter air, then more fool you I would say.

Well, there's nothing like a complete generalisation!

K&N have been making filters longer than all these others put together; I'd rather trust their expertise and knowledge over these Japanese tuning companies with their flash kits. Just because they're japanese doesn't mean they know it all.

Just because theyve been making filters for years doesnt make them any good , ford have been making cars for years doesnt make them any less prone to breaking down

Blood i think you know what point Megatron and I are getting at!

Using your same argument i could say just because Blitz have only been making filters a few years then that makes them good does it?

And I will enjoy the K&N in my 'old' car, thank you for that.

I'll also enjoy some decent filtering too.

I was exaggerating when i said gravel, but it will let in a lot more dust particles. Still its fine if you don't mind your piston ring life being reduced by half.

To be perfectly honest the best thing to do would be to get a replacement panel filter from K&N or TRD if its performance you are after.

As far as the oiled filter thing goes it doesn't apply to mr2's as 2's don't use hot wire AFM's

I bet if you installed an induction kit from HKS, BLITZ, APEXI, K&N you'd see zero difference on the rollers. Filtration you may and I'd guess on the k&n being the best, after all Blitz have now started coping them with its LM series of filters.

Over the years i've had Blitz SUS, Pipercross VIPER, HKS super powerflow and unbranded K&N copy, can't say I've noticed any difference bar the VIPER being made so poorly it may as well of not been fitted and noticing the inlet tract to look finely dusted with the Blitz.

Hi again Tickover!

I'm sure you can.......but Blitz is not generally considered to be as effective as K&N and Apexi. I've got a K&N on my N/A and am very happy with it - great performance and great sound.

Apexi are also very good but are a little more expensive, choice is yours.......
