Ran a Noble M12

Post by V8Killer »

Got in a run with a Noble M12 lastnight.

He must have been doing about 80MPH in the 3rd lane and wouldn't budge. I was patient at first, but the feck wouldn't budge. So i flashed him and he began to brake, thinking he owned the road. So i slipped into the centre lane to undertake him. And he buried the throttle and he left me for dead...i wasn't trying, i promise. So i slip back into the third lane and catch him back up again after a couple of miles and the ponce is doing 80MPH again.

This time i drop a notch into 3rd, get into the middle lane along side and he bury's the throttle again, i bury it too.

Needless to say I put about 4 or so bus lengths on it from 80-150MPH.

Then i am afraid he wasn't trying....

Let's face it, he does not have much to prove. 330BHP, 900Kg, and goes round corners on rails. Still about 7th on Stig's list, topped only by the likes of the Zonda.

My Noble is awesome, all the way through the 150 barrier.

Really?

I dunno how to activate my signature, but its supposed to say:

"GT35R through a built 3SGTE".

Mods...can you sort this?

Cheers

V8Killer: What power you putting down?

Noble may be 900kgs, 330crank hp, but a GT35R is capable of well over 400rwhp, enough to give a noble a lesson in a straight line pull im sure?

Not sure to be honest. Most of the mapping has been done on my own private road course :) . The car is mapped for power (yet to do the majority of the part throttle stuff), but am on the limit of the Spearco sidemount IC, which i believe to be around 520 flywheel HP according to reports in the USA...this is only at 23psi! Which adds up with the GT35R flow/power figures.

Need to get this chargecooler project finished and turn up the whick.

Can't disagree. Admittedly, the Noble is monstrous on track...however, didn't have a sniff in a straightline.

4 bus lengths from 80-150?

Yeah, your right! Its not a punishing, thats a too softer word. Lets call it an annihilation

Its still not fully complete mate, but i guess am kind of getting impatient so i just put on a Spearco IC for the time being, knowing that it was going to be the limiting factor and it is.

Still a fair bit to do.

Finish of the custom chargecooler project
Get some carbon seats installed
Map the off boost / part throttle stuff
Get the carbon t-bars installed
Get the Bomex front on
And eventually make up a custom wiring loom

Engine is coming out again at the end of this month :(

Cheers

Since when is braking thinking you 'own the road', what then is undertaking?..one of the easiest ways to cause an accident i know [-X

Even better, 150 in the middle lane!! you show remarkably mature and safe driving skills :salut:

Whether or not he was driving badly dosen't excuse YOUR response. From what you describe, you were driving like a complete p**t IMO TBH. You want to race, go to a track, otherwise (hopefully) you'll get nicked and removed from the road making it safer for the rest of us.

Juan.

Just so you know the Committee do not condone speeding. It is reckless, irresponsible dangerous and also illegal.

We do not appreciate posts about law breaking on the forum. Have a look at the forum rules.

driving at 150mph on the road is sheer and utter idiocy. What is the point? Also racing makes it worse because when you are racing you tend not to pay so much attention to other road users.
