was quite amused when i pulled in to the filling station yesterday and there was a youngish lad filling a scooby that couldnt take his eyes of my car and i couldnt help thinking -'now theres the look of a man that thinks he bought the wrong car'

...and heres a good one. A few months back, a mate at work asked if I wanted to pop along to a car meet he was attending at a local venue. He arrived at my house in his car (a nissan 200sx at the time), and his mate who brought his nissan along....

....so I went along in my car in a nice 3 car convoy, to arrive at the meet which turned out to be at a local motorway service station...

.....and was a local meet of the nissan 200sx owners club! There were about 20 cars there of various versions.....and me in my mr2. I got plenty of looks, but not exactly of the type I wanted....

I did get a few people asking about the car towards the end though, and having a look around. I did try and convert them to a proper car... O:)

Or overtake it on a pushbike.

In all honesty, I prefer the blue colour. I was looking around at the del sol's before I decided to get a 2. I must be a closet hairdresser  .

Got loads of attention driving in to work this morning - but then I did have the roof off and windows down which is guaranteed to turn heads 8) . Even a traffic cop gave me a wave as he passed in his Vectra patrol car (will probably find he was trying to pull me and I'm now a wanted man 8-[ ) .

Felt sorry for all the sad sacks in their hatchbacks and Mundanos.

Ah yes, very droll - walked into that one didn't I =D>

have you got a new hair style?

'Style' might be pushing it - going for the rugged, manly, windswept look......Two thirds still to go :)

At least they are the ones that generally say "nice car mate" and not just look but try not look like they're looking, or just try and race you.... :D

I must be doing something wrong though, 'cos very little interest from the ladies....? :( Perhaps they are just more suttle at hiding the fact they are looking. ;) Or they like the car - then see the driver...... #-o :|

I hate to break one of the biggest urban myths for you, but women don't go for men based on what car they drive.

And if they do, you'd wish you hadn't bothered anyways. ;)

Ohhh, yes they do!

I get a mixture of responses from people. Anyone under about 40 years old tends to give admiring looks, whilst those over 40 look on with disgust (probably the noise of the thing).

My wife gets nothing but dirty looks from other girlies when we're out in it, for some reason or the other. Weird!

I think noise has a lot to do with it. Before I replaced the air filter I used to get a few admiring glances and "Nice car!" shouts from kids but these days all I seem to get is vaguely annoyed looks as I blat my way through the village.

Still, I couldn't give a chuff what anyone else thinks. When I put my foot down, my motor roars like a b1tch queen on heat. I know I shouldn't like it.. but I do.

The N/A roar with an induction kit is awesome. I really miss it! Even at low revs you can put the throttle down and hear it reverberate away =P~

Its like having a V8!

I have only had my 2 for a short while.

Went into halfords in mk. Was shopping away Buying cleaning stuff (my baby has gotta be spotless) Whilst i'm paying i'm staring at my car just outside the window.

two blokes pull up in a BWM. The driver gets out starts looking at my car.. This always makes me smile as i have never had a car that someone would want to look at. As he comes in Halfords he says to his mate. "now that is a nice car i gotta get me one of those"

I was smiling all day long.
