how did i miss this......

PP, your car is certainly different i agree, but i personally dont know how anyone or a judge or whatever could actually rate this car at a show.
i really dont want to jump on the band wagon, but its awful.
IF the slits wernt cut out (totally pointless thing youve done there), and it didnt have those stupid rear lights and spoiler and wasnt pink, it would be a nice car. but that is alot to change. to have spent 13k on this, i would have expected something custom (and not just cut out holes).......
how on earth are you ment to bet it to 400bhp when you dont know whats needed, "im gona just give it to a mate", if it were me id make sure i had the best parts possible and that they all mated with each other (and i knew what i wanted).
there are a couple of show cars on this site, and in my opinion are quality and deserve mag attention (mr2lover, projectprelude are the main peeps), hunt them down.
i can see you love this car, and thats the main thing obviously, just i dout peeps on the site will see your project from your point of view.
all the best tho.

Bit harsh IMO Jim, its his money and his car don't forget

I appreciate you're being honest at least! Advice for tuning and constructive criticism is always good though.

I'm sure you'll get all the help and advice you want from this club, but you have to agree what you have done is quite extreme and therefore not to everyones taste. You asked for opinions and unfortunately you'll have to take the rough with the smooth on that one.

Constructive criticisim is not pointless

pink pleasure wrote: let me knw ur opinions pll

and people have done just that - some not so constructively but others yes.

if you were only after praise then you need to develop ...

not saying what i personally think needs developing.. as that would be a criticism and you don't want that.

i know, hense why you ask on a site like this and not just give the car to a mate (for all we know might not have a clue about mr2 turbos, or he might be a genious, you never said)...this is a dangerous road and mistakes cost major dosh to fix.

we know that, i havent heard you slag anyone cars off, but as you say, some may think its a shed, others a work of art....

there the same thing mate, especially in this thread....the hints and tips are (cover the cut out holes which most peeps feel distracts and ruins the lines of the car and are pointless)....i personally would rather you sort these out than spray another colour.
your car is behond hints and tips fella, you cant really go backwards. this is why photoshop is great, lol, gives peeps an idea as to what itll look like instead of just doing stuff, getting it sprayed then saying, what do peeps think.

My first post after reading through all the replies...

Now im gonna state, if i was to have this car, what would i change. This Scott is only 1 persons thought. Your own is all that matters.

Where to start?

Obviously the first thing that comes to mind is Pink + Male = NO, unless :gayfight: . Which as long as you dont come near me, im cool with.
If your not, and hoping to 'win' these competitions your going in for, id change the colour, there are endless colours to choose from.
I think this car would benefit from a black with green tint.

Your interior, as i think most agree is cool. The duct tape will need to be lost though! And maybe go for a Toyota Steering wheel? Or at least change the sticker to read Toyota!

Wheels are cool...

Body kit is ok, less of this random cut out and mesh though! ( i know you mention brake cooling, but come on)

take the stickers off...

lose the dice!!!

go for a less over the top spoiler, i think the rev 5 spoiler?

Take the rev6 lights out and go for the rev3 design.

Then i think you 'could' be onto a Max power winner?

I must admit though, your obviously into the max power sort of thing, and think you will be best suited to post on their forums, they compare body kits and stuff like that all the time (as per my younger days!) and use this as source of performance knowledge...

I would suggest you really read up into what further engine modifications, you want this friend of yours, to build into your car.

All the best
