Well you could always blow an exploratory kiss first, then pretend you were just smacking your lips if they get nasty, PMSL.

I hope they've got an onsite Indian Restaurant like Billing, I'll be lodging an official complaint otherwise :)

Booty-licious wrote:Hi all,

Claire here (organiser of JAE) Im sorry that you feel that way about it. I knew it might surprise and upset some people. The new venue is really for the better!!

Billing were not very helpful to JAE requirements and with ticket pricing, general public parking and other issues, it wasn't going to get any easier.

The new venue has plenty of space for clubs/traders. There are fixed facilities i.e. loos/showers. There will be reasonable priced food. A speedway track/Grandstand and we do have entertainment lined up.

All, dont forget how JAE started....and by whom...car nuts for car nuts. Would you rather have this event run by Max Flower? I dont think so! The quality of the event wont be lost, because at the end of the day it's YOU the clubs that make JAE what it is!!

If you have any questions please do not hestate to contact me on [email protected]

Yeah and make sure it's staffed by the most obnoxious people you can find and if at all possible have it serve crap breakfasts for far too much money and insist that the manager shouts at the customers because they don't understand his bizarre system.

In fact like Billing it would be great if everyone in the local area could put their prices up for the event and if all the hotels forced you to stay for 3 nights.... I can't wait for the new location!

Why not just do a big BBQ like everyone else does?

And go camping?

JAE2003 was far better than JAE2004 IMHO. The 2004 effort just seemed a little too 'organised', with many club stands laid out identically, so it was just like walking around a large carpark where everyone had mysteriously parked next to a similar car. 2003 was more random, and thus more interesting to walk round.

I found the food and toilets okay, as it goes, but maybe because I don't go to these places with a high expectation!

A new venue would be great for the show, especially with extra new things like the speedway track and stuff.

JAE 04

Post by dazza9t9 »

JAE 04 was my 1st time, I TOTALLY love every min of it. i was there with a friend from the Club Sol owners club. I thought the atmosphere was to brill. The only thing i felt it was lacking was a track, with displays etc etc, so a few venue with this facility will only make a great weekend even BETTER!!! i cant wait til JAE 05!!

New venue sounds good, we've been there before for horse shows (don't ask) should be just as good, if not better than billing IMO.

Ive been there before too Danny..... to a dog show (dont ask)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This year will be my first JAE, and i cant wait, gonna have to try and figure out how i can run my Technics and a mixer through someones sound system and pump some tunes out  , any suggestions?

Suggestion - don't do it, it's annoying.

People go to JAE to look at cars and enjoy themselves, not to have other people's music forced upon them - JAE have their own radio station anyway.

If you want to pump the tunes bring headphones or expect the wrath of others.

Mike 'MR2' McHugh,
If you are on your way to the JAE 05 perhaps we can get a midlands convoy together, it would really help me because I am a directionally crap & would prolly get lost.

My nan has a guest house about three miles away from this venue.
Full english breakfast, satellite Tv etc. very competetive rates (although not sure exactly what they are!!)
If anyone is interested i can get more details and post them up, may even be able to convince her to do some sort of IMOC discount!! let me know

Good idea, but camping is the way forward, also the most fun too.
