Is there supposed to be any sort of panel/soundproofing or something between the carpet and the bulkhead behind the seats? In mine there isn't. The carpet's a bit on the saggy side going up to the rear window and you can feel all the cableing running across the bulkhead. It all looks a bit rubbish! Couldn't find anything in the manual about it.

off the top of my head there should be a thick carpet type material.Perhaps its there more as a fire precaution rather than sound proofing.

Its not for fire protection, that is the firewalls job.
Its job is soundproofing.
