235/40's 17 on the rear will fit fine ! :) it'll certainly stop you scrubbing the rims against kurbs with them bulging.

235/35 - unusual size so will cost ££££££££££££££££££ probably not available too.

for what reason would you go for a 35 profile on the rear.

Hi there, Im currenty running a tubby with 215x40x17's at the front and 245x35x17's at the back with no problems at all....and rears dont cost a fortune !!! Apparently the 245x35x17 has exactly the same rolling radius as well so you wont have any error on your speedo.

Yeah.. think thats the main issue, I'm running 245/35/17's on the rear.. but I have 7.5" wheels and andy has 7's !

As mine are already seriously bulging out, it maybe an issue if its another 12" less width !
