part number valve stem seals

Does anyone have the part number for the valve stem oil seals for a REV2 turbo.

I am working away from home at the moment so dont have access to my car to get the chassis number

Hey Paul,

Its cheaper to buy a full head set / engine set from a non toyota gasket set ( around £50 ).

I remember pricing up just the valve stem oil seals on their own... and they worked out at £3 a piece.

16*3 = £48 For some rubber and a circular spring !

.I actually want the toyota ones as i've come across a few people recently that have had problems with the non toyota ones, maybe i'm being a bit Cautious but dont want to have to pull the head off again

Anyone know the price of a full gasket set for the gen 3 turbo? i mean the lot as i'm mid- engine build at the moment and am going to need a set soon.

Toyota usually want £150 for a full engine set... !

Start abusing the discount... trade bits and bobs .... and you could probably wangle it for £120 circa... thats including the metal HG ! Good value !

Hey tim.... they dont' unfortunately ! I worked out to buy all the bits seperately for the engine set and its nearly £500 !!

You can get a full engine set or a head set. The rest is individual !

Actually .. I'm in need to a rev 3 HG soon ... see where I'm going with this ??

did you say you can get the sets easily enough, not being a fitter yet i don't have the toyota discounts.

And the standard 1.2mm head gasket isn't much good to me as i'm using CP pistons at 9.0:1 which calculated from a 1.4mm head gasket.

can't remember which way round it was but

8 intake = 4.29 inc vat = £34.32

8 Exhasut = 6.04 inc vat = £48.32

total for 16 seals = 82.64

parts guy said he could knock 10% off after a bit of bartering

still comes out to about £75

good job i'm working in the offshore industry these days can just about aford a set

Try Rogue, they'll supply non oem valve seal kits for a fraction of the Toyota cost. Good quality too.

not being funny but rather go with proper oem parts if your putting a good 15k into an engine, no point skimping at the last minute.

not being funny either but if youre putting 15k into an engine why try and buy a gasket set without the gasket you dont need? you could just sell it on. Valve seals are valve seals and any company that makes them will ensure they do the job- not like aftermarket intercoolers or strut braces that just look like good parts. Toyota has to use other companies to manufacture their products too, they cant make it all lol.
Just a note to the guys out there who are looking for alternatives to Mr T thats all.

oh yes thats understandable.

I think its just a personal thing, ive done engine rebuild before and tried none-oem gaskets and usually had problems but always went perfect with the oem ones, so learnt and stuck with oem. Like i say probably just unlucky the first time.

also i wasn't the guy after the valve stems, i wanted the gasket kit minus the head gasket. But i was going to buy the lot anyway but if JJ wants a standard rev 3 head gasket i'm sure we can come to an agreement
