Hi,

I've just brought my first MR2 This weekend and i am really enjoying it so far. It's a 1992 GT T-bar.

it's standard at present, but I imagine I will change a few subtle bits.
The leather gear gaiter it ripped and nackered, Does anyone sell these except toyota? The leather seats need a bit of treatment too, any ideas?

Cheers,

Rick.

Hi and welcome to IMOC.

With regards to your worn leather gaiter, there was a thread by a member selling them for £11.00 brand new on the affiliates section recently.

Welcome!

A lot of leather seats tend to go on the side, as this gets the most wear.

You could look round on e-bay or the for sale sections to get a replacement set, or perhaps look into some re-upholstering companies to get yours retrimmed.

Will cost a few hundred either way though...

Welcome to IMOC :)

As for your seats - yes, you can sort them out. Best thing is leather Balm you can get in Tescos or Sainsburys nowadays to make it more supple.

If the leather has cracked you can use shoe scuff removal polish which stains it back to black, and you get a very good result.

But make sure you clean *all* of it off very well otherwise it will mark your clothes!
