Tein Super Streets

Post by Martha Foker »

Hey all, do the Tein Super Streets give as harsh a ride as HA Coilovers?, also do they require any of the standard toyota parts for fitment or are they a complete kit.

Cheers

Hello mate,

Cannot answer your question regarding HA`s however, I have got Tein Super Street on my rev1 n/a and they are no more harsh than when I had Cobra 40mm lowering srpings on there with standard struts.

The kit comes complete with everything to change so no you dont need any extra parts.

Cheers, Lewis.

If you buy the most basic SuperStreet kit then you will need to re-use the stock uppermounts.

lewis jay, when you say about the same as lowering springs and standard struts what damper setting was that on as there is 16, just wandering if thats soft mid hard.

Got some coming for my own car just wandering what to exspect, hoping i've gone for the right ones, when tein sorts out a restock :(

Hello Tim,

The comparison was with the Teins on the softest of the settings.

I could get away with the mid setting on roads that I new where good, but the hardest was a bone shaker probably only use that when I get chance to use it on the track.

I do have 18" wheels however so it maybe a little better with smaller wheels bigger tyres etc.

Cheers, Lewis.

i don't sell them yet as there 2 heavy to import, need a uk dealership really.

I'm buying mine from camskill, they offered me a price at £599 inc delivery, but i did buy the top mounts a few weeks earlier and asked if they would give me a discount.

Only problem is everyone i know is out of stock until mid march till tein restock everyone.

yeah i know, my shocks on my gen3 were totally shot, so i've had to steal the rears from my trdwidebody until the teins arrive and i can swap everything back over.
