Microwave sensor??

i found one under the centre bit that runs down the middle of the car inbetween the gear cables what it for
dont what to get microwaved and end up lookin like this

I'd suggest it's part of an alarm system. Microwave sensors are used to protect interior with roof down, tbar off, sunroof open etc.

There's an alarm microwave sensor around the gearstick area on the Celica, so it makes sense that it's the same in the MR2.
