[Mk2 Turbo] split silicone hose alternatives?

hmmm is this something i am likely to see happen on a regular basis at 1.7 bar?



any way around it?

use mikalor ss clamps , ( sbit's sells em ) & samco hose (the best one samco make usually have to order it )

I don't think the clamps would have helped here (although i do need some mikalors so i'll speak to peter later). The hose in the picture is double layer. Apparently you can get triple layer stuff so i'll look into that

and yes 1.7 bar.... I like driving with a ticking time bomb behind my head

If you dont want to wait as long and pay as much go for SFS hoses. Its a company started by some old Samco workers and is normally cheaper and faster.

BTW Dean I can get triple layer if you need it, TBH most silicone hose is.

Going to kick start the silicone GB that I had to put on hold so let me know if your interested.

Thanks James. Radtec are sending me a new hose. I'm hoping it was just a faulty one. If it goes again though i'll let you know

I use wire re-enforced hoses from SFS - no probs
