Don't worry Jim I didn't know you needed 2 each side either haha.

Anyway I did mine with Luke the other weekend, it's pretty damn easy ASSUMING no calipers are stuck, then it becomes a nightmare!

I can't exactly remember which bolts we took off but if you look behind the caliper there's a biggish bolt right at the very bottom, IIRC you remove this then you can lift the caliper up to reveal the pads.

The pads will just pull out and you should have metal clips with them

(just thin wire clips which help keep them away from ur disc iirc

- make sure you don't lose them!).

After you've taken our ur pads, u'll need to wind ur caliper piston back in

(these push against the pads)

- there are 2 pistons on the fronts and 1 on the rear, the 2 on the front are just literally push ones.

You need to remove the brake fluid cap under the bonnet

(this relieves the fluid pressure) then you need to press in the 2 pistons.

We had a MAJOR problem where the pistons wouldn't hold in, we managed to get a cheap DIY clamp and hold on piston in place and then used a long screw driver and a hammer to compress the other one.

We managed to get the pistons far enough in to slip over the pads! Proper mission that one was! After we did the first one we did the one on the driver's side and it took about 15 minutes.

The rears are different

- these are a push and twist and there is only 1 piston.

Same process with undoing the bolt to free the caliper and pulling out the old pads

- MAKE SURE UR HANDBRAKE IS OFF! Once you have done that I used some long-nose pliars to grip the piston and then used my bare muscle to twist it back in

(piece of p1$$!)

- problem arised when one piston would not for the love of god go the f*ck in! So Luke gave me his caliper to use and that wound in a treat!

So essentially mate it is pretty damn easy but as our cars are pretty old, seizing can happen! If you have a suspected binding caliper

(excessive brake dust/hot wheels/discs) then I'd be very weary about it being stuck.

Hope this helps mate, I may have forgot something but this is what we did IIRC.
