Driveshaft part numbers for SC AW11

Post by cmux »

Can anybody help me with part numbers for both driveshafts for the SC AW11? or possibly beefy enough substitutes? Or where I might get some new ones.

They will be mega bucks from MrT, if you can still get them.

Rare as rocking horse poo.

Mr Woods reckons you can use a ST185 setup as an alternative.

I've just sold a pair i'm afraid.

MrT ? do you have a number please? Obviously I want to keep the cost down, But it might be possible to get these made If I can get the ends, or according to the chap, match up if I can get part numbers. I'm sure lots of people have already been down this road. But if it takes too long then I may have to bite the bullet.

indeed,st185 outer cv joints are the same as mk1 sc but there the similarity ends....do you need complete SC shafts? if you get a mk2 turbo shaft that is identical to the short side SC shaft but you will need to put a st185 outer CV onto the turbo shaft, this will in effect give you one complete short side SC shaft. As for the long side its SC only im afraid but as mentioned if you have the shaft already you can stick a new st185 outer cv onto it to refurb it.

Mk1 sc complete shafts from toyota are around £260 for the short side and £350 for the long side if that helps.

As Lauren has already said - the SC driveshafts are nye on impossible to get hold of.
"If in doubt - just make the numbers up!" ;)

Thank you for your comment, But I still need them and they are out there.
and if nessesary I will buy new, but when I ring up Toyota they ask for a chassis no and model no and I have neither, this is the kind of info that will be helpful.
