I am assuming that reply was directed at me, I e-mailed Jonny and he replied promptly and politely explaining how to change the name, it was infact very easy to do and im sure most people would rather do that than mess about with refunds etc.

It wasn't aimed at you, as i knew you had already sold the place.

We don't want people getting in a situation whereby the person turning up is not the person who originally booked the place for obvious reasons. After quite a few people swapping/selling places last time Jonny asked that people follow the procedure of getting a refund rather than swopping names etc. It caused a fair few admin headaches, because it involved getting in touch with both parties etc... and there was the situation where the seller did not confirm the person who they sold their place too which made it a PITA.

There are currently 13 places left for the trackday with 16 provisional bookings, so if you want your place you need to get in there!

Paying 50% of the price, is enough to guarrantee your place, though you will need to settle the balance 2 weeks before the event.

If you want to come and have a friend who also wants to drive but has a 'non-mr2' then please let me know as though we want to keep the day as MR2 as possible a small number of responsible drivers in non-MR2s is acceptable.

Either way get booking kids!

If we don't get the remaining places filled in the next couple of weeks Jonny is going to want to open up the day to all and sundry, which obviously we don't want.

Came down to the trackday last year but couldnt stay long. Would love to sign up this time but im skint. Is there any chance of passenger rides as Id love to come down this year for a lap or 2 with a view to signing up next time(sorry if this sounds cheeky!)

Yep come down am sure there are plenty of people who will give you a ride. Just bring a helmet if you've got one.

I'm sure you'd be able to get rides no problem at all - me included.

I did this back at teh last Anglesey Trackday (I think that's the one you come to see us at?) and it was interesting to get rides in different cars, and see how much the cars varied due to their modifications.

Likewise, the passenger door's always open (unless moving ). As with Elvington I've got a friend coming with me who will be looking for passenger rides. Be gentle she hasn't passed her test yet.

I have some footage from lst year. I had meant to get it onto dvd but loads of it was deleted by mistake. I only have a few mins of the front straight. I can e-mail it if you wish but its not brilliant.

I cant quite remember, but I thought doesnt last yrs footage include paul port's car? First time I had been in a Mk2 when he took me on the track, my life it was fantastic
