strange wiring going on

hey

has anyone got any idea what is happening (1991 rev 1), the speaker on the door isn't working and sometimes the interior lights don't come on

so i did a search on here and found out about the rubber bit at the door where the wires go throu (i think) and if i play about with it then the light comes back on then move it back and it goes off again

i got the speaker working once doing this but never again, im also hearing the locking going at this point too!

any ideas what to do?

Common fault on Rev1s. Solution is to replace wiring that goes from lower footwell plug into the door..

im having problems with front speakers aswell, cant hear them unless you put your ear right by them, how did you get roud it?
