Lakes tour 2006 Sunday 19th February

Post by AW11 Forever..! »

MR2 enthusiast ALL welcome. Meeting at the Scotch Corner hotel on the A1M in the car park at 10.00am and leaving at 10.15am

Meeting up with North West MR2 MK1 Club members at the Little Chef / Travelodge in Penrith just off the M6.

Please bring a picnic or BBQ as I think there will be too many of us for the usual room at the hotel in Ambleside.

We have a great route planned, have a look at past events.

Sounds good. heard great reports from the last one.
If you are going to Ambleside, and i am travelling up from midlands, do i have to go all the way up to penrith or is there a convoy off at J36 / A590?
Maybe i can stop at mums for the weekend.....

JO,

It will probably be just a well for you to come up the M6. If you contact John Redmond as he is organising the members from the north west as they will probably be meeting somewhere on the M6 around the Cheshire area.

Cheers

Jo,

Also worth mentioning, we plan to meet up with the North West people around 11.30am in the car park @ the Traveloge/Burger King just off the main M6 junction @ Penrith. Turn off, at junction and take a left at the huge roundabout, the Travelodge is about 100 yards on the left.
Is there anyone else from the Midlands who fancy the run. If you can plug it at you weekly meets that would be fantastic.

Thanks
Michael

Got Pauls turbo gearbox fitted, seems much better now! Just need to eventually get my LSD box fixed.

I think my dad is away on holiday that week - unsure if he is back on the sunday, I'll be out for the ride anyway :)

Of course, MK2's are superb cars, I used to have a 1991 MK2 tbar import G Limited, was a brilliant car till I got pi$$ed and agreed to sell it to my brother in law....!!!

I'm a man of my word and actually did go ahead and sell it to him who went on to bloody stick a mad bomex kit everywnere, drop it to the floor, stick in some awfull loud BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, ripped the bottom off every time he went over a leaf and then sold it to a chava....!

All them hours servicing it, cleaning it, polishing it to get pi$$ed on a few Stellas and have her ending up like that...

See you on the run. Where are you coming from and where will you be meeting us....

Cheers

Tom, Dan and Alex,

Good to see you have added your name to the list its going to be fun. Bring a packed lunch and we'll find somewhere good to stop for lunch. We plan to leave the Travelodge/Burger King around 11.45am.

Looking at the list theres going to be around 4 Superchargers....

Please everyone really try and promote the run as we need more cars, MK1's / 2's / or Roadsters / 355F Conversions / Karmeleons and Veranti's ALL welcome.

No problem the guy who wants to come in the Supra, something different to look at.......

Cheers
