Discussion and technical advice the SW20 MR2. 3S-GTE, 3S-GE, 3S-FE etc
Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
Ideally yes, since it'll mean that we're able to run open-pit with similar performance cars - which will be less scary for newbies than some radical/elise/nail always overtaking
A 45 bhp Fiat and a 325bhp carrera 4, hmmm, sounds really similar to me......
I will still offer my place up if anyone wants it.

If the Porsche is the one that was at Elvington last year, you'd be surprised at how little performance differential there is. It easily left me down the straight, but I caught up with it no problem in the corners - and with the shorter straight at Anglesey its power advantage will be even less useable.
Didn't it have a valve/engine problem though?
Anyways its not a race so does it really matter.... i'm sure there will be some people in mr2 pootling round (mainly my dad)

LoL - so you still letting other people drive your '2 after Elvington then ?

Ahem..... theres nothing like going on a passenger ride with someone else and seeing your own car being driven round the track and spun right infront of you
Anyways letting my dad drive gives me some leverage to put me on his insurance.... I might not be coming in the MR2 anyway depending on whether its blown up or not. Could be driving a hyundai coupe 2.0 SE auto on the day
I might be reconsidering this folks. Depending on if I can rope the old man into it again!
Either mk1.5 MR2 or mk1 Escort... both have got 'issues' at the moment, but more than likely to be the MR2.

Tyre wear is nowhere near as high at Angersea as it is at Elvington. I would say even if you are enthusiastic you'd only use a mm or two at most.
John, remember provisionally booked guarantees nothing, if you pay 50% it guarantees your place.

Ah... yes
will get a move on with this then - JTuner blokes that came to the RR day said they would be very interested - just need to give them the details etc.
will let u know as soon as i get replies etc [-o<
Alright!!!!!!
Cars booked in with Peter Giddon for new gearbox, clutch and some other odd things which are annoying me. Will be ready for a run in march!!
Now to start saving for that adjustable suspension I had my eyes on

Yes, there is loads of free parking in the paddock, so no probs there.
There won't be any trade stands.
