[Mk2 ] Trim removal

Post by DannyW »

Could someone tell me how to remove the piece of trim that covers the A-pillar and goes round above the door on the drivers side of a tin-top MR2 please.

Thankyou please!

I was wondering the same thing, i think its going to be held on with those yellow or white clip things, i nearly pulled at it the other day, then just changed my mind and decided to wait till i buy a gauge pod!

Think i'm just going to tug at it until it either comes off or breaks.

Best to use a trim tool, or if not a flat blade screwdriver, carefully start at the thin part above the door (to the rear) and evenly pull it bit by bit until you get the the A pillar then that should unclip easily, then lift it out from the dashboard, you'll need to slide your hand behind to disconnect the tweeter connector before you lift it out however.
