ahem, look above, I'm driving an eighties car, and prefer it. You think I've got seventies/eighties issues? You should listen to my "Jeremy Clarksons Best Driving Rock" album with a slice of Meatloaf

people could write their usernames on with permenent marker?

I can't see it costing a lot tho would everyone want to stick their names on their bumpers ? :-k

Just had a quote for getting them printed A5 size on removable vinyl it came through as about £50 for 40 so about £1.25 each.

Should I go for it?

Id be happy for that, £1.25 is neither here or there really when the weekends gonna cost you £200 is it, I like the idea!

On another point, I was going to bring some tools, to make adjustments etc etc at the track as this is a bit of a shakedown session for me, is there somewhere I can leave these when on the track, a pit area etc as I obviously dont want them slowing me down! lol

Yep, just leave them in the pits... everyone does this. There is a covered section which if you get there early you can bag.. we do that and leave all our tools and crap there... but really anywhere in the paddock is fine.

...or use dry wipe board markers? If there's something light in colour behind like a white vinyl background the board marker would stand out. If you put the vinyl on the inside of the glass you could even write on the outside of the glass and then change it when someone else is driving.

Good pic there - but it is a little misleading as it doesn't convey the gradient across the track at all.

It is an IMOC day on the Saturday. There are a couple of non-MR2s but they are known about. For example the Golf is Alan Head's car (he had a MK1 for years).

Then there is Martin Holden who had a turbo MK3, but now has an elise. There are a few more like this but they are very much in the minority and all are known about.

so you are allowing friends of some members but not friends of other members - double standards if you ask me :-s

Ah I see, so when I asked if my friends could go in his TVR (although I try and contribute as much to the site as I can and have owned MR2's for over 7 years) it was infact because I am not important enough to be allowed, rather than he doesn't have an MR2. I even said at the time I fully understand as its an MR2 owners day, but seems to me this is disgraceful. Im seriously considering selling my place, if anyone wants to give me the cash for it i'll accept.

These guys are old IMOC members rather than friends of members. At this point however i don't see a problem with a few friends of members, its more that we just wanted to hold it open for MR2s only for as long as possible. This is why the 'old hands' (who no longer have MR2s) have been holding off booking until now.

So at this point if you have a friend who wants to book a place and you let me know about it i see no problem.
