That car above is very similar to mine, but I agree doesnt look quite right, as noted its too cheap, and its been on sale for a long time, I disctinctively remember seeing it months back as I didnt like the wheels.

It should look like this,

Note no black detailing anywhere.

If they have took an older car and added bits to it they've paid good attention to detail (apart from the front splitter) as it's even got the rev5 wind flaps in front of the front wheels.

Anyway before I do anything I need to decide whether I want to advertise the car or take the quick easy option and just trade it in.

Advertise the car mate! You'll get sooooo much more than if you trade in. Its not that big a hassle and just think what you can do with all that extra cash you'll get!!!

Cheers for the replies.
I guess it's possible that the rev5 might have a really high mileage and somebodies painted over all the stone chips with black hammerite.

It's a lot of hassle to go through to convert and old one especially getting rev 5 parts. The other tell tale is that it has twin airbags that are only on rev 5's. I might be wrong though.

I'll have a look this weekend and see what's what, Hopefully i'll get a couple test drives at least.

Won't do any harm to stick the car on Autotrader and here while I mind.

there is a spreedsheet somewhere with all the chassis codes on it so if I can find it I'll post it somewhere so you can check the code when you are there

edit: - it only goes to early 96 but using the seatbealt tag down by the door will at least give you the year of the car. It thats missing then be very wary
