Just got my car back from Pete Gidden from SBITS.....

with an ATSTD06 kit....

At the moment i am running it in with Stock Pressure and it wills quicker that a standard ct26 at 1.0 bar.... this Turbo pulls so strong for such low boost... All i can say Pete has been an absolute star..... the quality of workmanship is 2nd to none.

Allthough i have a niggling cooling issue (which i've allways had) the car runs perfect...

The Boost controller will be going on next and the pressure raised to 1.0 bar

Then its time to play for the Haltec Standalone, Lotus chargecooler, Bored out fuel Rails and 800 cc Injectors... and whacking up the boost hopefully up to 1.5 bar or so.. knock permitting....

To anyone thinking about this turbo.... Don't think!! Get one.... It spools nearly as fast as Stock and holds pressure rock solid and the efficiency is simply superb!!!

A warning if you go for the screamer pipe on the wastegate.... you will need Ear Defenders

welcome to the club mate. Be careful raising the boost to high on the standard fuel set up. This turbo flows alot of air even at low boost, might be worth getting the air/ fuel ratio checked when you raise the boost.

The screamer is v loud. So loud in fact that i've wimped out and had it re-routed back into the exhaust . It grates on you after a while (but it's great for scary old ladies)

Kit is fantastic quality. Fits like a dream.

About 4 hours to remove all the old stuff, and same again to fit new.

As ATS's UK dealer, prices are less than it would have been buying one kit from them direct.

What speed did you say you tested my J37M1 on-ramp to??? A little more and you would have hit BMW's obligatory speed limiter

nice to hear its a good piece of kit, i will be geting one myself! just a few questions, how did you get on with inlet and intercooler pipes, did the use standard items or uprated? if so what diameter piping for the inlet side, also is there a support bracket requied for the turbo itself?

Currently, the rest of the engine layout is completely standard inc all hoses pipes and dump valve. No extra bracketing required.

A Samco reducer was required, and in the interests of offering a complete service instead of just "box shifting", i will hold all these pieces in stock.

I'll post up a pic of the finished installation later.

Probably the best upgrade anyone can do when they're turbo goes pop is to replace the entire unit out with a real efficient blower.

These CT-hybrids are okay... but the price of some of them... your better off buying one of these TD06 kits or similar. Theres just so much more performance to be had.

I've seen this car at Peters (along with all the goodies) and it looked top! As mentioned, Peters workmanship is great, everything gets done perfect or he cant rest until its sorted!

I'm just waiting for the call so I can pick my car up from Barnsley at the moment.

Anyway, should be spectacular when that charge cooler is fitted!

All i can say this Turbo is not for the faint hearted!!! That wastegate just gets louder!!!! This Turbo kit combined with Pete's fitting skills is just perfect for the car...


The exhaust note is just completly different...
