hi, just, at last! managed to install my new head unit. (kenwood) KDC4031
unfortunately am having to do with Toyotas speakers at the mo due to money restrictions. I have a MK1.

But was wondering if i will be able to plug a spare set of Technics into the 'rear' Left and right jack points on the head unit.
The speakers are the left and right surround speakers off my old home cinema. Or would they need a separate AMP to power them?

cheers guys

Left and right jack points? Do you mean the RCA red and white ports? If so then you need an amp.

Better to take your stereo out, disconnect the rear speakers behind the headunit (doing this at the speakers is a pain) and run speaker wire from the back of the headunit to the back of the car via the centre console. Then you can wire up your surround sound speakers behind your seats using those wires.

Don't know many that have gone down that route lol
