HKS Valve Controller

Post by TUR80 »

Hello I'm new to this site and have had my Tubby for just over a month now, I have been informed the Imported turbo REV3 model I bought has had a HKS F-CON V unit fitted with an adjustable HKS Valve Controller III in the glove box. Just trying to get my head around the valve controller settings. I have been intouch with a few people who are familiar with this type but unfortunately I still need more information as it still not right.

I downloaded the HKS instruction manual but it is only helpful to those who already understand this product. Kind of worried that I might set it up wrong and damage the turbo! Can anyone help?

TDi are probably one of the best for HKS software. Give them a call.

I called them and they shocked me with covering them selves that it could take around 3-4 hours to sort it out, calculating their cost per hour it seemed a small fortune just shy of £400!!! There must be another way surely. :pale:

Sorry, didnt mean to recommend them as such. Just I know that they are quite handy with HKS. I know they are quite pricey.

No worries... I realise they know their stuff especially HKS. Was kind of expecting upto £200. There is a place called Graham Goode Racing in Leicester that said they can sort out the controller but unfortunately they don't work weekends. What do think we all don't work for a living?! Can't get the time in the week... looks like I'm stuck. ](*,)

Which bit of the setup are you struggling with?
I've got an EVC4 on mine and its a piece of p1ss to set up???

Don't worry about damaging the turbo, you might melt your pistons, but don't worry about the turbo

Do you think you would be able to sort it out? I would travel if need be, no problem. :)
