Mike, what exactly was giving them problems? Did the adapter plate not fit? I do remember them saying that ideally you need to take out the existing Garrett studs on the exhaust housing, and fit the bigger ones as seen on Toyotas (for reliability purposes, as the Toyota studs are better quality and tougher), but this alone shouldn't have caused a problem?

Everything from what I can gather! lol From the oil and water lines that where sent by Fensport that are reportedly no good to the above mentioned fact that the holes on the turbo don't match up with the adapter plate provided. No gaskets of any kind. Also, although known about at the time of buying, the fact that the downpipe and the 4" inlet all have to be custom fabricated. These last two jobs were the only reported things needing to be done of any real effort according to Fensport at the time of purchase.

In the word of the fitters. "Everything else except the turbo needs to be doctored or fabed to make fit! "

Whilst i'm more thab sure that the final result will put a smile on my face. I'm just a little nervous about the bill to follow

With the engine in situ fabbing a dp will be a pain in the ar$e. The turbo though, surely fensport have come up with a decent kit for the prices they charge??? Or are they just selling a turbo and flange for £1500?
Small turbos - they're not big and they're not clever!

Just say NO to small turbos!

Here's what I got for the money...

GT28 Turbo
Adaptor plate
Braided oil/water lines
6" long s/s section to get me started on the down-pipe

I was told that this was all that would be need to complete the install. And that I would only need to fab the down-pipe and inlet sections. But in truth so many things missing!

Ian at Westfield Motors has told me that he's compiling a complete list of missing and un-mentioned components so that I can show Fensport what should have been included.

After having spoked with Fensport today I was told that Ian is making a jig for the down-pipe and inlet so that Fensport may offer a more complete kit in the future. Just a shame that i've had to effectively foot the bill for their research! :( :?

A good friend of mine helped me put that in. It's not something that I would do again for love nor money! I can put you on to someone who would though. Where are you based?
