[Mk3 ] help on japanese

i got the mr-s, so it comes standard with dcd, tv and sat nav only problem is that its all japanese so wont work, can u get it all chipped or changed 2 uk spec or it is a new sytem?

It's unlikely that you'll ever get it working but it's not completely unheard of for units to have a simple toggle switch on the back (or inside) that will allow you to select the region it's being used in.

You might get lucky, you might not - stick it on eBay and put the cash towards a UK one, either that or just watch Japanese DVDs and pretend you understand them.

No, it can't be changed to English. As Michael said above, sell it on and buy a UK system with the money.

Nope, we've binned loads of incredibly expensive looking Jap satnav systems. :(

Might be wrong but I've heard that they can be converted to English region 2?

New Era imports have said this on their website before but IIRC it's fairly pricey. Depends on how good the system is I suppose.
