Toyota alarm help?

hi as any one still got there original mr2 alarm it 's the one with the red dot in dash when u turn the key it comes on my's is a94 uk model it wont come on this morning is there a fuse or something broken checked my manual cant c one 2 check ?

first check the alarm is working, break into your 2 lol dont smash a window or anything put a window down, set the alarm and wait 30 seconds then open the door from the inside. If it goes off your alarm is fine so maybe just the led?
TBH the toyota alarm system is crap and its worth investing in a decent alarm for peace of mind and also a insurance discount (although I was offered a £1 discount when I fitted a clifford 650 costing me £450, maybe it will pay off if the car lasts another 451 years )

hi found out when i put the the key in the drivers door it will not lock or open passenger side so the alarm will not come on but if i lock both doors with key one at a time the alarm will work any ideas ?

sounds like the wire has snapped inside the door which triggers the passengers side to lock at the same time, the wires inside the doors seem to be a weak point in mr2s
