tips for attempting instal alarm

ok here is the wiring diagram for the alarm with remote start etc, im really thinking of doing this myself

i currently have the standard toyota alarm n imob installed with the brown round key fob.

so first question is, where the hell is this??? cant feel it under the drivers seat? i might be wrong without ripping the seat out,
can i use any of the wiring on the current alarm n stuff??

and any tips on where everything i need to connect to will be great :)


or if theres somone in staffsor near who wants earn a few quid give me a shout :)

Only tip i can give your regarding alarm installs is get it professionally installed. They will issue you with a certificate of installation which you will need to present to your insurers if you are hoping for any kind of discount. Without it they will presume you have the basic alarm only and your premium price will show this.

not really hoping for any discount as the car is secure and cant be stolen as there is always 2 cars in front of it, unless it gets robbed while im out, and my insurance think there is just a basic alarm fitted, i really only want the remote start function for these winter days lol

correct me if im wrong but adding remote start to a cat 1 alarm system automatically degrades it to a cat 2 system
