Alloy oil caps

Post by FizzyBlueMr2 »

Hi,

I've seen a lot of TRD alloy/metallic oil caps for the mr2 on the likes of ebay etc and have not really been interested as I prefer perfomance mods rather than cosmetic (and no comments about an alloy oil cap adding 20 bhp ala mad muppet mag or sommat!!! ;) ).

Anyhow - a saw one on ebay, a TRD one, in metallic blue - which caught my eye as I have never seen them in metallic blue, and it would really go well with my car (which is blue - obviously!).

So was considering treating my car to a little extra "bling" - has anybody else bought any TRD oil caps from ebay or elsewhere, and are they ok? Any good sources around (maybe in the affiliates?) who I could trust more that an ebay auction? ;)

- Ian.

i imported a load over last year and made a few bucks on them :D

anyhow, they are fine for cosmetic looks, just buy from a seller with good ratings and you will be fine mate ;)

They aren't TRD - they are "Crappy Yongmongo" with a sticker on them.

True, (I have one also!) - but they're peanuts to buy and look better than the standard black cap - I've had the cam cover polished and the black plastic looked wholly wrong.
TBH I doubt the Crappy Yongomongo will perform any differently than the TRD version either! :)
