Help needed for one confused lady MK2 owner !!

Post by TinyR-S »

Hi ...

I'm new to the site.. hubby already a member.

I have recently adopted my husband's Mk2 since his attentions have now turned to his new Rev 3 Turbo.... and I was wondering if someone could tell me what the little hook shaped 'things' are that are situated inside, just below the rear window there are 2 of them one passenger, one driver's side... about head rest hight...

Being a resourceful women I am currently using this little hook to hang my handbag on...lol.... :D (They probably have a far more technical use than that though.)

Any help much appreciated guys !!

Claire.

welcome to the club :) , I use the hook behind the drivers seat for my jacket if I have a passenger, otherwise my jacket lies in the passenger. I think that's what those hooks are for

Hi,

I find the great for hanging "take-a-ways" or fizzy drinks (ie Lager) on so that they dont spill, fall over or get fizzed up, when you go around corners.

Do your passengers appreciate you violating them in order to store your jacket?

I reckon it's difficult to complain, having a jacket stuffed down your throat :P

Skywalker and Red,

How do you guys stop cans of lager, bottles of coke and all other fizzy things falling of the passenger seat and rolling around the footwell then ?

I think Eastbourne holds the british record for this tbh, give it a couple more years and there won't be a single t junction left!

I think people were more wondering about the fact that the words "lager" and "spilling" and "while in the car" appeared together in one message.. ;)

As crazy as it looks, it works really well.

[/off topic] Oh yeah - hooks behind the seats... I once heard someone say they were for hanging the T-bar panels on  ... can't see that myself although I've yet to try
