How many people from stockton, middlesbrough or darlington?

I am usually driving round stockton middlesbrough or darlington just wondering how many other mr2 drivers around here are imoc members?

We have been meeting up with the MK1 club at the Church Mouse pub on the A167 just outside of Chester Le Street. Not sure how often this event is going to occur now winter is on us as cars get taken off the road for winter. Well mine does anyway. Send an email to Gtech (Graeme Simpson) and he can add you onto the north east list for future events.

I'm from these parts aswell, would only really see me in middlesbrough, occasionally darlington. other than that i'm mooching around Redcar.

Would like to make a meet, i was unable to make the last 1, so going to make a special effort next time.

Hi everyone. Had some trouble with my IMOC logon or I'd've posted sooner. Anyway, set up a new user now (was 'G!', now '3SGE').

I live and work in 'Boro. I see MR2s most days. A few red ones recently. If I see another 2 quick enough I always give a flash/wave. In fact, flashed a red one lunch time today on Southfield.

You can recognise me easy when it's dark 'cos I've got Rogue Systems' Rev 6 quad low rise up front and LED rings on the back. Apart from that a pretty standard black Rev 1 G-Limited.

My car is deffo stayin' on the tarmac all winter as it is my only car! Lol. :-)

Would be up for dropping in on a meet if there's one coming up, as long as you'll promise not to laugh at my car as it neds some TLC. :-)

I want to fit quad headlamps on the front and rev 6 lights on the back as the lexus ones I have fitted are s*1te quality

I quite like them now, took some getting used to. Everything's LEDs too, only lightbulbs outside the car are the headlights. Actually, I lie, the sidelights are bulbs now too 'cos all the LED units I tried were annoyingly blueish in hue.

Popup headlights are a pain to adjust though. I was seriosuly considering fitting some of the Nemesis Performance (http://www.nemesisperformance.net) fixed units recently but don't reckon they look too good unless you have a body kit to suite. Anyway, got my lights set up alright now.

I totally recommend the Rogue Systems kits as they really do contain everything you need.

Have you considered fitting Rev 3 lights on the back? Prices vary wildley of course. eBay usually has a few. If you need a new centre panel then I think you can use the centre panels from Rogue Systems with Rev 3 lights and it might be cheaper (the same centre panel from the LED kit). Of course it doesn't come ready for reverse lights.

Btw, what colour is your car? Looks like a kinda non-standard candy red. Nice. I need a respray sometime. Thinking maybe Nissan Skyline 'Midnight Purple'.

I remeber seeing your car at Enigma Performance...one extremely well cared for MR2. I gave Pete a hand with it. Not sure where your old alternator was from but it wasnt designed to fit an MR2...might have been more suited to a 1 litre Starlet.

Cheers mate... not sure what colour its suposed to be... tin said Blue to Red. Im from Hartlepool so not too far away from you... I work in Stockton but dont use my 2 due to the amount of milage I do for work.

I'm lucky enough (or not) to be within walking distance to work, hence the tubby stays away most weekdays!

Met a few of you on the Lakes meet back in August, there seem to be quite a concentration of mr2's around Darlington. Anyway heres a stupid question as I dont have my map, where is Darlington? Just asking as if its not too far I might take a spin up there to one of your meets.

Darlington is kinda between York and Durham. To get to it from Liverpool you'd maybe use the M62 across to the A1 then head North. Take quite a while I'm guessing. :-)

Yeah, I thought something was wrong with that alternator. :-) Wasn't charging very well at all to say the least. :-) She's not doing badly for a 15yr old car, but needs some suspension work next. Engine is good. Strange rattle on a trailing throttle but haven't been able to work out what that is. Seems to run fine so not too bothered until it gets warmer. :-)

Pete is a cool guy, glad I found someone local who knows alot about twos. Been ripped off by a few local garages recently who knew zilch about cars it seems. Discovered Enigma Performance trawling eBay for parts. :-)

Lol, Pete might remember my crazy friend who drives a Bentley. He's deffo doing the Canonball Europe it seems, in a midnight purple 500Bhp R33 GTR Skyline. I might be co-driving on that run, shame I can't afford to enter my 2. :-)
