i`ll kill the b tards if i catch em

Post by crazylegs »

i went to open my car this morning and both the drivers and passenger door locks are knackered.some delightful, intelegent person had tried to force the locks with a screwdriver or something.I suspect the person whos house i had parked outside but cant prove it !
anyway Mr T tell me they can supply new locks quite reasonably priced and can have them retumbled to fit my existing key.has anyone done this? does it work? i really want to keep everything on one key but the cost of this not so reasonable.
can anyone give me a contact for this sort of work.
i was gutted this morning, the only good thing is the locks still work .well in a fashion anyway.why do they do it you cant open the door with a screwdriver anyway its just so pointless.

kill them slowly and leave the skinless bodies hanging in your street from the lamp post using piano wire.

nobody but nobody will touch your car after that

toyota prices are ok about £20 per barrel but then they say £40 to get them converted to my key.thats EACH! £60 per side is a bit excessive .i bet they dont pay £40 for the conversion.so come on someone must know who can do this for me.

It's possible to re-tumble a barrel, used to do it all the time with my Sierras. Ford keys and locks of that age were made from a metal that owed more than a passing resemblance to cheese. Used to get a stock every time I went to the breakers, and the nice thing was, all the tumblers had numbers stamped on them.

It would probably be worth your while seeing if you can get a full lock set off a car that someone is breaking. The door locks have got to come out anyway, so thats no problem, just the boot one (easy) and the ignition (bit harder, but not terrible) to go and I would think they'll be a bit cheaper than 120 quid.

Sorry to hear that mate, I went through a similar experience last week when I suffered a break-in, so I know how you feel.

Its a wonder how they sleep at night.......were they trying to knick your car do you reckon? i always wonder about when mine had a similar thing done to it....nothing on show, nothing to knick. Do they just break in and hope that theres loads of stuff left in the glove box ???
