Welcome to the club mate. You'll find all the info you'll need here!
8)

First off don't rush into buying. Don't just buy the first one you see (unless its a minter). And do PLENTY of reading up.

If you find one you fancy looking at, post it up on here, it could be there's a member near you that would be happy to come and have a look for you.

Are you wanting to buy one from the UK, or import from Japan?
if importing, check out http://www.Japanese-Direct-Imports.co.uk although they will be more expensive. But worth it in my opinion.

There are a lot of really tatty turbos over here in the UK, but there are some real goodens. I'd only buy of and ensthusiast, just to ensure the oil has been changed every 3k miles, check the tyres, if they're all a different make, then the owner hasn't got much money! Could mean he's neglected other things. If its standard and doesn't boost consistently, or there's black/blue smoke, walk away.

There really were some fantastic guides on the old imoc site. Maybe admin could dig this out?

Hope that helps

all turbos are imports mate.
what he was refering to was do you want to buy an imported turbo thats already in the country, or import one yourself via an importer.

I would probably be looking to by one that is already over here as opposed to importing one myself, cant really afford the extra cost involved in the importing.
